I am now the owner of Katie and the elusive Tabetha from the shelter. I was brought up with lots of animals as a child but no cats as my mother disliked them. My husband on the other hand always had family cats around.
We had chosen not to have any pets because my son had asthma when little and became really ill from just patting them. A neighbours cat decided to change all this and he and Michael became mates and in fact Bob came to practically move in to our place. I think because our neighbours had so many animals and kids, as a senior, he wanted lots of peace and quiet. When he died at age seventeen we have missed him so much and when a stray cat recently came to us for help it made us realize how much we all missed a cats presence in the house.
I have only admiration for Louise-she is truly a modern-day cat whisperer. In the dark ages she would have been in big trouble, especially with her love of black cats.
I think people like Louise show us that we can make a difference for our animal friends and we all can play a role in making the planet a better place.
