CAT ENCLOSURES

For expert advice and a realistic price and a professional job we recommend HAPPY CAT ENCLOSURES

DONATE TO SAVE A LIFE TODAY

Even the smallest donation can help to save a life and pay for much needed food and veterinary care for a stray, injured or abused cat or kitten. The shelter receives no funding and is entirely reliant of the generosity of people just like you who care about the safety and wellbeing of all animals. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

OUR GOALS

BVCR aims to promote responsible cat ownership including microchipping and desexing.

All cats and kittens placed in our care will be found responsible, caring and permanent homes.

No cat or kitten will leave BVCR without being vet checked, microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

All cats and kittens re-homed MUST be returned to BVCR if there are any problems during the settling in stage.

Our one wish is that one day we will no longer be needed.

As we receive no funding and all costs pertaining to the shelter are borne by BVCR any donation no matter how small is genuinely appreciated.  There are precious few NON KILL SHELTERS available for cats and an ever growing need. So please consider making a donation to help keep this one going - you never know your best friend may need it some day.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Unfortunately there are so many cats and kittens being abandoned on a daily basis that welfare organisations are being forced to turn away many new arrivals because there simply isn't any room available.  Please help in any way that you can either through donatons or by volunteering your time to help look after the lucky ones who have made it onto the adoption lists.

PROBLEMS FINDING RENTAL ACCOMMODATION

If you are currently trying to find cat friendly rental accommodation please go to the following website and download the available software to make your search easier.

www.petfriendlyrentals.com.au/

To make it more likely that you will find what you're after please follow a few simple rules.

Make sure that you tell your agent that getting cat friendly accommodation is of vital importance to you.

Make sure that you supply references from past landlords, neighbours and your vet showing that you are a reponsible pet owner.

Offer to sign a pet agreement that details the responsibilities of all parties.

Show that you use a cat enclosure to ensure that your cat does not wander and cause problems for neighbours.

Show that your cat is vaccinated, microchipped and desexed.

Remember that many landlords may have experienced problems with damage cause by irresponsible pet owners and if you can show that  you have been a good tenant in the past you have far more likelyhood of success.

BREEDERS CHOICE CAT LITTER

Thank you to Breeders Choice for their valuable contribution to assist in the rehoming of these beautiful cats and kittens.  I believe that when companies are prepared to assist rescue groups, that we should all get behind their products.  Some companies really do care about animal welfare and even in these tough economic times are prepared to assist where ever they can.
