CONFOUNDED FEMALE TEENAGE KITTENS

Posted on June 7, 2010 at 7:34 AM

Ever since her arrival at the shelter, 12 mth old Socksie, a gorgeous young black and white female, has driven me crazy and pinged off like the hounds of hell were on her tail every time I approached.

I've been walking on egg shells for months around her but she formed a strong attachment to Timmy, who after the hell he went through before returning to the shelter, really needed a little mate. So I've put up with her antics and basically just left her be.

Suddenly tonight for no known reason Socksie has decided that I'm her very bestest friend in the whole wide world and do you think I can get rid of the little drop kick.  Not on you life!!!

For reasons known only to her befuddled little brain she keeps happily chatting away at me and flatly refuses to stop putting her little teeny foot on the computer keyboard. She then looks lovingly into my eyes and while I'm supposedly distracted pushes on the keys and makes the computer do all sorts of funny things which she seems to think is hilarious.

She's jumping onto the futon and testing out what happens when she pounces on my back, grabs at my arm, rubs up my side and leaps onto my foot.

All this has been going on for the past couple of hours and my stint on the telephone didn't win me any reprieves either. During that period she kept herself occupied by playing footsies with me as I tried in vain to stop her walking on the phone digits and playing with the cord.

Kerri who normally goes mad on any cat or kitten that appoaches me while she's inside is just lying there sound asleep on the other lounge chair and letting me suffer. Big help she turned out to he in a crisis.

Oh crikey Socksie just ran off with my slipper. Well ran is probably the wrong word, more like skidded off into the distance is more like it.

Save me from temperamental furry female teenagers.
